Is Sorry Enough?

Finally the papers have apologised to Madeleine McCann's parents, and not a moment too soon. The number of attacks and criticism's of these people has been absolutely staggering and in light of the atrocious handling of the case by the Portuguese police, generally unfounded. Ok, so they should never have left the children alone but the constant hounding of the couple based around this fact beggars belief. They made a mistake and now they are paying for it in the most agonizing way possible. Maddy McCann is, in all probability, dead and her poor parents have to live the rest of their lives knowing that this could have been averted. Haven't they suffered enough? I'm not calling for more accountability of the papers but surely a little morality won't go astray. Leave the McCann's alone, they have enough to deal with.
